SPEAK TO THE MOUNTAIN
© 2006 Bonnie W. Daniels

When God created heaven and earth,
He spoke the words to give them birth,
He said, “Let there be”, ---- and there was,
With His words He spoke both day and night,
Sun, moon and stars to give them light,
A great big sky with an earth below,
Seas filled with fish, mountains capped with snow,
And He saw this was good---- and it was.

Sometimes we’ll have trouble and woe,
That will follow us wherever we go,
But there’s power in our words ----- if we believe,
When a mountain appears in your life,
Causing too much stress and strife,
Speak to the mountain to make it take flight,
Have faith and believe with all of your might,
Jesus said, “Trust in God”-------- and I do.

CHORUS:
Speak to the mountain,
Shout it loud and clear,
Speak to the mountain,
To make it disappear,
Can’t just think it, hope it,
Or wish for it to be,
You’ve got to speak to the mountain,
Said the Man from Galilee.

BRIDGE:
If you have faith and you don’t doubt,
You can turn your life about,
Send that mountain straight into the sea,
Put a smile upon your face,
God is love and full of grace,
And He will help you win the victory.

CHORUS:
Speak to the mountain,
Shout it loud and clear,
Speak to the mountain,
To make it disappear,
Can’t just think it, hope it,
Or wish for it to be,
You’ve got to speak to the mountain,
Said the Man from Galilee.

CHORUS: REPEAT

TAG:
Can’t just think it, hope it,
Or wish for it to be,
You’ve got to speak to the mountain,
Said the Man from Galilee.
The Man from Galilee,
The Man from Galilee.
