When I woke up this morning,

The sun was shining bright,

The sky was blue without a cloud,

And everything was right,

I hopped into the shower,

The water felt so good,

It brought me to my senses,

Just like I knew it would.

Is this a great day or what

A glass of juice with toast and jam,

And I am out the door,

Ready to take on the world,

Like I have tried before,

I’m standing tall, my chin up high,

Just walking on the air,

One little step above the ground,

Without a single care

Is this a great day or what

I got into my Chevy truck,

The traffic was so slow,

All the cars in front of me,

Were faced with much delay,

Back home again by five,

I pet my cat then walk my dog,

It’s great to be alive,

Then slip into my favorite chair,

And turn on my T. V.
